The solar power plant in California that is mentioned at about the 7:26 mark is one of the most expensive energy power plants, that if it was not prompted up by the government, would have been shut down by now or never would have been built. It is the perfect example of how we can build something as a proof of concept, and then we should learn that it was a bad idea and never do it again. It cost about 10,000 times more to buy electricity from that power plant than it does from more traditional solar power plants. It is also important to state that solar is still the most expensive way to generate electricity. Also, growing by 500% or f times is saying that solar went from .26% of the U.S. energy production to 1.3% of the U.S. energy production, which is not a bad thing, I just think that we should be honest with the solar growth. I cold discuss many other points in this video, however, it is best to say that there are many cool ideas out there, however, the technologies are not ready for massive implementation.
Nuclear fission is way cleaner then fussion you mixed up the two. The msr reactor is better if combined with thorium your wrong. The "fast reactor" is not safe. The Molten salt reactor is better. Yet its being swept away from the market due to oil lobbying.
These problems have already been solved since the 1920s but sadly our government re-education camps known as public schools keep regurgitating all of these systems you mention in this video to each generation as just around the corner.
I won't hold my breath waiting for any of these.

Using pressure to make electricity is called Piezoelectricity and it'd been used for a LONG time. Piezoelectric Plates are cheap , and used in pressure sensor ... It's crystal power !

3 battery production why haven't we attempted to make batteries that can fit on a silicon wafer just like a silicon transistor we could easily use the processes that make a semiconductor transistor and build microscopic or even nano-scale voltaic piles instead of copper and zinc we could use graphene and lithium and make a energy density that would increase tenfold

Reactor and fuel engineers would LOVE to get 5% fission of uranium or plutonium fuels. In fact, the fuel bundles are removed from the core of light BWRs when only 0.5 to 0.7% of the fuel has fissioned.
Fusion is the way to go i think, i heard they build a magnetic field to use as a "box" they sustained it for a few seconds before they had to shut it off. I cant think of a better energy source than Sun v2.0 in terms of amounts and space needed and ressources used to replace parts and amount of energy supplied.
Human cyborg energy seems like enslavement with extra steps.
The ones in the water will take much maintainence, the ones in the air will have its fair share of problems too, bio energy looks to be great, although how will it perform on a grandscale?
Geothermal energy is just asking for it to go wrong the way i understand it.
What powers this world is money. Money is more important than the environment or even human lives. Hard to believe, I know, but it’s true. This world will never accept alternative energy sources.
(That doesn’t mean there is no hope though...)
space debris is there at aspecific height above earth. We can set up the miirors at a height above that. Or we can scavenge the moon itself using artificially intelligent nano bots which replicate themselves and work on the suface of moon. Soon the entire moon can be reshaped to absorv sunlight and focus it at earth and yeah we can absorv that massive amount of energy to power everything else.
I also hope to see human and animal waste processed for 1) oils for biodiesel, 2) protein for animal food, 3) fiber for biofuel, 4) nitrates for fertilizers, and 5) methane for natural gas fuel. Some of these have been done a little, but as technology gets better, I think we will really be able to turn abundant waste into abundant resources.
Pipe dreams - solar ok on sunny days, tidal fails on slack tides, space anything is 100 years away and Germany found that the big generators are required for night & cloudy days. Drilling into a volcano isn't a great idea if you have to live near it - ask Hawaiians

A power source can be created if a person had the land and the money? Build a reinforced concrete flywheel around 200 feet tall, around 25 feet or so wide around 20 feet thick with large I beams for spokes attached to a huge axle mounted on huge plaster footings, build slide weights that will slide up and down on the I beams spokes, allow them to go up and out at one o'clock to 6 o'clock , retract them from 6 o'clock to 12 o'clock, the counter weighs will have to be around 40or 50 tons each, mounded to 12 spokes, may need a pony motor to start the rotation, can be started on its own, but will take longer to get going, To harness the power, a ring can be placed on the outside 0f the flywheel, one on each side, mount a low profile heavy equipment tire mounted on a axle to a large trunk transmission turned around backwards, where the gears can be changed, by mounting the transmission this way it will be like a overdrive, hooked to a hydraulic pump plumbed with hard lines to a heavy equipment hydraulic pump, adapted to a heavy equipment transmission turned around backwards to up the gear ratios, then hook it up to a electric generator which can be geared by charging the gears in the transmission, the torque will be well enough and will be hard to stop. More than one set of tires can be used to harness even more power to other generators, no cost to operate except for maintenance, have been thinking about this for years and can not get it off of my mind, this is the first time that I have ever had the opportunity to bring this up to people like you all, thank you all for your patience and time. The World Health Organization has studied and found that current nuclear generation is the SAFEST form of producing electricity, including statistics from Fukushima and Chernobyl. Think of how safe newer advanced designs like Molten Salt Reactors will be! Carbon free, base-load generation, and we can do it.....right now.....what could be better?
Useful video. I like the fusion, like the thorium reactor and recycled old nuclear instead of storing it. I have solar and I like tidal and wind. The excess power can be stored in liquid salts, hydroelectric storage for night generation or hydrogen fuel cells for use in airplanes and night time power grid energy use.
