What if you're european? Does anyone know cool conventions to go to in Europe that feature English-speaking genre authors?

What if you have nothing published and want to query it ? :(

Nice! Thank you.

+D Bones You don't need credentials to publish. If the agent likes your query and your book, you're in. That's for fiction, anyway. Credentials would definitely help a lot more for non-fiction.

I mean for credentials. :)

Then you query it. If it's already published, an agent doesn't want it.

Yes. Normally when that happens you can no longer self-publish it. Christopher Paolini, who wrote Eragon, did that. Also Larry Correia self-published and was then republished by Baen.

So, let me get this straight. You can self-publish a book and then publish the same book again in print with a print house or whatever? That's accurate?
