Stock Market Index - 7 Types of Indices [HINDI]

09:10
Stock Market Index is basically a pool of stocks identified by same or common characteristic. Broadly Stock Market Indexes can be classified into 7 types also known as Stock Market Indices. These types are as follows 1. Benchmark Indices: It consists of Stock Market Index like Sensex or BSE 30 & Nifty 50. Basically, these are used for benchmarking or comparison. 2. Broad market indices contain Stock Market Index with broader participation like Nifty 100 or 200. 3. Market Capitalization: Under this classification, the Stock Market Index are divided into 3 parts i.e. large-cap, mid-cap, and small-cap. I shared a detailed video on this subject. 4. Sector Indices: This type contains Stock Market Index like Nifty Auto / Bank / Pharma /IT etc or BSE Bankex. As of now the total count is 12. 5. Thematic Indices: This kind of Stock Market Index is based on a specific theme like Nifty Infrastructure / Energy / Commodities / MNC etc. 6. Strategy Indices: It consists of Stock Market Index based on investment philosophy or theme. For example, Nifty high beta 50 index is for those investors who would like to invest only in High beta stocks. Similarly, we have High Alpha 50, Growth Sectors 15 etc. 7. Customized Indices: These are designed based on the client requirement thus normally not available for retail investors If you liked this video, You can "Subscribe" to my YouTube Channel. The Advantages of Investing in Small Cap Stocks

03:59
You can download a free list of Russell 2000 stocks here: https://www.suredividend.com/russell-2000-stocks/ Many investors focus on large-capitalization stocks, which are loosely defined as stocks with more than $10 billion of market capitalization. While this strategy works for most, it has the effect of artificially narrowing your investment universe. Moreover, the rise of online brokers, index funds, and other passive investment products has made it easier than ever to invest in small cap stocks. In this video, I explain the advantages of investing in small cap stocks. What are Small Cap Stocks? To begin, let’s talk about the definition of a small-cap stock. Small cap stocks are defined as stocks with market capitalizations between $250 million and $2 billion. Stocks that are smaller than this are called microcaps or nanocaps, while stocks that are larger than this are called midcaps or largecaps. ------------------------------------------------------ Reason #1: A Broader Investment Universe The first reason why investing in small-cap stocks is attractive is because of the sheer number of companies that dwell in the small-cap space. This is appealing from the perspective of diversification, and also because it allows you to be more selective when hunting for investment opportunities. For evidence of this broader investment universe, consider the major market indices for large-cap and small-cap stocks. The main index for small-caps is the Russell 2000, which contains about 2000 companies. The main index for large-cap stocks is the S&P 500, which contains about 500 companies. Said another way, the small-cap stock universe contains about four times as many companies as its large-cap counterpart. ------------------------------------------------------ Reason #2: A Less Efficient Market Small-cap stocks receive much less attention from the financial markets. They receive less analyst coverage and less consideration from the media. What this means for investors is that small-cap stocks can remain quite mispriced for prolonged periods of time. When large-cap stocks become disconnected from their intrinsic value, investors quickly take notice. This is not the case in small-cap stocks, which creates opportunities for self-directed investors to acquire shares below their intrinsic value and profit from potential valuation expansion. ------------------------------------------------------ Reason #3: No Institutional Ownership On the surface, it may not be clear why a lack of institutional ownership in small-cap stocks is beneficial for self-directed investors. It comes down to the fundamental principles of supply and demand. When institutions begin to buy a stock – particularly a small-cap stock – it creates significant buying pressure in the market. This increases stock prices. As we know, higher prices result in lower future returns, all else being equal. Small-cap stocks do not have this problem. They are outside the realm of most institutional investors, which creates more favorable prices for investors that are willing to venture into this space. In fact, one of the “sweet spots” of investing is when a small-cap business grows to the point that it is included in some of the major market indices. This means that a great number of ETF providers and other passive investment products are forced to buy the stock, which drives its price higher. A recent example occurred when it was announced that Walgreens was joining the Dow Jones Industrial Average. Walgreens’ stock rose by 4% on the day of the announcement. ------------------------------------------------------ Reason #4: Small-Cap Stocks Naturally Have More Upside Some of the best gains that are available in the stock market are when investors can purchase shares in an attractively-valued business, and then that business sustains a high growth rate for a very long period of time. In fact, each of the world’s largest businesses grew to their current size by following this blueprint. However, large companies are limited in how much they can grow. Apple has a market cap of nearly $1 trillion dollars. It is unlikely that the company will double in size over the next several years. Instead, shareholder returns will come from dividend payments, share repurchases, and perhaps some modest business growth. Small cap stocks have a completely different total return profile. Their growth potential is much greater, which often creates spectacular returns for investors that have the ability to recognize these businesses early. If you do not have this ability, passive funds that track the Russell 2000 index will also capture this growth.

HOW TO PROPERLY INVEST IN INDEX FUNDS - DOLLAR COST AVERAGING

09:51
What do I do? Full-time independent stock market analyst and researcher: https://sven-carlin-research-platform.teachable.com/p/stock-market-research-platform Check the comparative stock list table on my Stock market research platform under curriculum preview! I am also a book author: Modern Value Investing book: https://amzn.to/2lvfH3t More about me and some written reports at the Sven Carlin blog: https://svencarlin.com Stock market for modern value investors Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/modernvalueinvesting/ The predominant investment strategy is to invest in index funds which means that you own an index like the S&P 500, which is a basket of the 500 biggest businesses traded in the U.S. Owning part of the 500 best businesses in the U.S. is not a bad thing but there are a few things you should know before allocating your hard-earned money to index funds. 1) Investing in index funds is extremely risky You probably read that many, even Warren Buffett says that investing in index funds is the best way to invest. However, there are many catches that go along that statement. The first thing many forget to talk about is the risk of investing in index funds. The S&P 500 has dropped 49% in 2001 and 57% in 2009. Such huge drops are extremely indicative of what can happen. And, it will certainly happen again sometimes in the future. In both cases the S&P 500 recovered but there is absolutely no guarantee that it will do so after the next drop. For example, after the 1920s bull market, it took the S&P 500 25 years to return to the previous level. There are also many periods of more than 10 years where stock market returns haven’t really been positive. From 2000 to 2013, from 1968 to 1982, just to give a few examples. If we adjust the returns for inflation, the periods where the actual return is zero are even longer; 2000 to 2016, 1966 to 1994 and what is also staggering is that from 1927 to 1982, inflation adjusted stock market returns have been negative. There is only one way to properly invest in index funds and it is a good strategy if you can stick to it for your whole life. Only if you dollar cost average your investments into index funds, you will do fine over the very long term. Dollar cost averaging means that you invest a fixed amount every month no matter what is going on in the market. This way you invest when things go well but also when things don’t go that well, which is the key. If you look back to the above chart, those who invested in 1931, 1940, 1982, 2009 have reaped the best investing returns. As it is impossible to time the market, dollar cost averaging is the only way to properly invest in index funds. However, few have the discipline to do so over the long term. A dollar cost averaging strategy works only if you keep investing through thin. This means that it is essential to invest when there is blood in the streets. Blood in the streets means that most others are selling in panic of what might happen next and nobody wants any kind of relation with stocks. A similar situation happened in 2001 and 2009. Those who have been constantly investing in stocks during the last 10 or 20 years, month after month, did well. However, if you stop investing during a recession because you prefer to safe a bit of cash in case you get fired, then index investing should be completely avoided because extremely risky and will lead to bad returns. As simple as a dollar cost averaging strategy might solve the issue. Where did the 5.4% yearly difference go? Well, it was eaten up by fees and by the fact that most invest in stocks at the wrong time and usually sell at the wrong time too. Most investors buy high and sell low. Therefore, it is extremely important to understand that investing in index funds works only if you stick to such an investment strategy for 40 years and add money constantly, month per month and reinvest the dividends without exception. The sad part is that, very few manage to apply such a strategy through life and that is something you should really see whether you can do. If you can’t invest when the stock market is down, or even worse, have to pull your funds out of the stock market when there is a crash, index investing certainly isn’t for you. 2) Dividends are extremely low As shown in figure 3, inflation adjusted stock market returns aren’t that stellar. Over the last 90 years those have been just shy of 2% per year. The biggest benefit from investing in the stock market in the last 90 years has come from dividends. The problem is that those dividends are at historical lows now.

How to Trade the S&P Rebalancing

02:00
Learn how to find day trading opportunities in the S&P and other indexs rebalancing periods. Once each year, the research organizations Standard & Poor’s, Dow Jones, and Nasdaq undertake a joint review of the composition of companies included in the indices they manage. When a specific company is encountering difficulties and its stock has plummeted, it is highly probable that this company will be removed from its index and replaced by a “new star” in a practice known as "index rebalancing." Stocks such as Apple and Google did not always appear on an index, but made their entrance due to their success while other companies were doing poorly or were completely inactive. Why does this need to interest you? There are two things you should know about index rebalancing. First, never believe a person who says something like, “If you had invested $1,000 in the Dow Jones 30 years ago, you’d be rich today.” That’s a fraudulent statement used by Wall Street salespersons and fund managers trying to lure you into a long-term investment. In actuality, the index changes annually because stronger stocks replace those doing poorly. If you had invested in the original index, you’d have lost a lot of money by now. The second thing you need to know is that index rebalancing can make you money. Many investment funds link to an index. For example, a fund might promise its investors that it will invest only in stocks belonging to the S&P 500 index. When a stock is removed from the index, the fund is forced to sell it and buy the stock moving onto the list. When stocks are being replaced in an index, the information is publicized several weeks before the actual change. This means that funds are forced to sell and to begin buying stocks in advance. The result is that a stock being removed from an index will drop because the funds are forced to sell it, while a stock entering an index will rise as funds purchase it. It’s that simple. Type the terms “S&P rebalance,” "Dow Jones rebalance," "Nasdaq rebalance" or “Russell 2000 rebalance” into your search engine to find the dates and precise list of stocks leaving and joining these indices. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ►►Subscribe for NEW You Tube trading lesson here: https://youtube.com/user/TradenetGlobalUK?sub_confirmation=1 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Helpful links: ►►Join my trading group: Get education & a Funded Account: http://www.tradenet.com/join-funded-accounts/?affiliate_id=35955&affiliate_org=2&web_page=&placement=&campaign_id=7010O000000fKjw 📺 Watch my FREE live You Tube streaming Trading Room: https://www.youtube.com/c/TradenetGlobalUK/live 📒 Join a FREE 14 day trial in my live Trading Room: https://www.tradenet.com/14-day-free-trial/?affiliate_id=35955&affiliate_org=2&web_page=&placement=&campaign_id=7010O000000fKjw 📺 Watch all my lessons here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLb9tmPwCEfFjZWiIEYa4BfF4BZX0F0mWz 📒 View the FREE "Part one" of my trading book "The Market Whisperer" here: http://books.tradenet.com/ 📒 Buy my best selling book at Amazon: ►► English: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1540353524 ►► German: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B01INKEG0S ►► Spanish: https://www.amazon.es/dp/B01FDNOHKC ►► Italian: https://www.amazon.it/dp/9655504654 ►► Russian: https://www.amazon.com/dp/9655504670 ►► French: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GCG8PBG ►► Hebrew: http://www.booknet.co.il/prodtxt.asp?id=57495#.Ww6PT0iFNhE 📒 Open a Colmex account (Non-US residents): https://services.colmexpro.com/registration/start.aspx 📺 Watch all my day trading live videos at: http://www.youtube.com/user/TradenetGlobalUK/videos 📈 Contact Tradenet: [email protected] 📈 Contact Meir Barak: [email protected] 📈 Visit our website: www.tradenet.com 📈 Tradenet Germany: www.tradenet.de ; [email protected]

Circuit Limits for Individual Stocks and Index (HINDI)

08:19
Circuit Limits for Individual Stocks and Index are different. The investors and traders think that circuit breakers i.e. stocks that hit upper circuit or lower circuit are best bets for them. It is not true. Upper Circuit is the limit above which a stock price cannot trade on a particular trading day. On the other hand, the lower circuit is the limit below which a stock price cannot trade on a particular trading day. These are also called circuit limits. In case of the upper circuit, there are only BUYERS in the stock and NO sellers. whereas in Lower Circuit, there are only Sellers and NO Buyers. There is NO circuit limit for stocks trading in derivatives segment i.e. Futures and Options segment. The circuit limits for individual stocks and index are defined to control the volatility or extreme movements in the stock price or in the stock market index. The circuit limits are revised in case the stock or index consistently or continuously break the circuit limits. The circuit limits are decreased to curb the volatility and the extreme price movements in the stock market. It is not possible to place any order in the stock till the stock price or index comes with the trading range. The circuit limits are also not applicable on the date of the stock listing. This is the reason you observe extreme stock price movements on the date of the listing. If you liked this video, You can "Subscribe" to my YouTube Channel. Bottom Fishing Nasdaq & Dow Jones 30 Index for Stock Market Profits http://www.wisdominvestor.com The Nasdaq 100 index and the Dow Jones Industrials 30 Index are jumping higher off the lows. We are buying the Leveraged Index funds for a possible continued move higher. The QQQ and DIA do not have full buy signals in the daily charts, but it looks like sellers are giving up. The VIX index is dropping lower allowing for buying pressure back in the stock market. The XLE Energy index, XLF Financial Index and the Semiconductor index are also moving higher.

The U.S. Stock Exchanges

02:19
The U.S. Stock Exchanges The U.S. stock market comprises three major stock exchanges for day trading. Stock exchanges are businesses that make their profits from commissions and services. The stock exchanges compete among themselves by appealing to different business niches. Each stock exchange has its own unique specialties, technologies, advantages, and, of course, disadvantages. If you’re looking for an introduction to day trading in the US, here’s your basic guide. Meet the New York Stock Exchange The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) is located on the corner of Wall and Broad streets. It is the largest stock exchange in the world, based on the market value of the companies traded on it, and therefore the highest number of day traders participate on this exchange. The market value, known as market capitalization or “market cap,” multiplies the number of publicly held shares of stock by the exchange-traded price of each share. The market cap of stocks traded in the NYSE exceeded $21 trillion as of June 2017. The NYSE trading list comprises more than 3,000 companies. It wasn't so long ago that NYSE market orders were handled by humans known as floor traders. In those days, the execution time of an NYSE transaction could take up to two minutes. But the unavoidable has happened to the world's largest stock exchange. The revolution started slowly. Nasdaq, the United States’ first computerized stock exchange, became the model when it began operations in 1971. It took some time, but computers have now taken over most processes at the NYSE, despite strong opposition by the day traders. Computerized day trading has provided exactly what the public wanted: greater competition, fewer commissions, greater transparency, and higher execution speed. Meet the Nasdaq The Nasdaq (formerly known as NASDAQ when it was an acronym for National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations) was established in 1971 as the world's first electronic stock exchange. Unlike the NYSE, it immediately computerized all of its trade processes. From that point on, day traders no longer needed to compete over each other’s shouts on the trading floor. Everything was push-button. The result: commissions slowly dropped, the quality of service improved, competition grew, and companies of a new type issued stocks and raised trillions of dollars. Within two decades, and with the proliferation of the internet, Nasdaq was accessible in the home of every trader. For the first time, the road to private trading was opened, day trading classes were being offered as were more services for beginner day traders. We can, in fact, say that the profession of day trading as we know it was born with Nasdaq’s founding. Meet the NYSE American The NYSE American was first established in 1842 as the American Stock Exchange. The NYSE acquired this stock exchange in 2008. NYSE American is now the NYSE's market for small-cap companies. Like the NYSE, it now has moved its processes to quick, effective computerized execution. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe for NEW You Tube trading lesson here: https://youtube.com/user/TradenetGlobalUK?sub_confirmation=1 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Helpful links: Join my trading group: Get education & a Funded Account: http://www.tradenet.com/join-funded-accounts/?affiliate_id=35955&affiliate_org=2&web_page=&placement=&campaign_id=7010O000000fKjw Watch my FREE live You Tube streaming Trading Room: https://www.youtube.com/c/TradenetGlobalUK/live Join a FREE 14 day trial in my live Trading Room: https://www.tradenet.com/14-day-free-trial/?affiliate_id=35955&affiliate_org=2&web_page=&placement=&campaign_id=7010O000000fKjw Watch all my lessons here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLb9tmPwCEfFjZWiIEYa4BfF4BZX0F0mWz View the FREE "Part one" of my trading book "The Market Whisperer" here: http://books.tradenet.com/ Buy my best selling book at Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1540353524 Open a Colmex account (Non-US residents): https://services.colmexpro.com/registration/start.aspx Watch all my day trading live videos at: http://www.youtube.com/user/TradenetGlobalUK/videos Contact Tradenet: [email protected] Contact Meir Barak: [email protected] Visit our website: www.tradenet.com Germany: www.tradenet.de

Top 10 Quality Stocks (HINDI)

07:52
Quality Stocks definition is bit subjective. As per NSE, Quality Stocks are those stocks which have durable and sustainable business model resulting in sustained margins & returns for the company. The NSE has created Nifty Quality 30 index that is updated on monthly basis. The analysis for the inclusion of Quality Stocks in this index is done by the exchange and the detailed methodology is available on the website of NSE. The exchange also considers Return on Equity, Debt-to-equity ratio and average y-o-y growth in PAT in previous three years. Quality Stocks have delivered consistent returns in the long run. Secondly, these are normally low beta stocks. Therefore, investment in these stocks is least risky compared to other stocks. It is observed that performance of Quality Stocks is better compared to index i.e. Nifty. For example, in first 3 months, the index has dropped 9% from its peak but at the same time, the Nifty Quality 30 index delivered a negative return of just 1.56%. In my opinion, these stocks are good for long-term investment. An investor can change the stocks with any change in the index or its composition.
