Small Business Administration -- http://www.noahhammond.con Now, this advice applies to you even if you are not a small business owner. So, for all of you out there who are not a small business owner and who maybe have no plans on being a small business owner, stick around. But, for you small or large business owners, this is a CRITICAL lesson. This is something I had to learn PERSONALLY and I had to learn it the hard way. So, I am here to save you some trouble. Small business administration is the first step to growing your business. You need to have systems in place that allow tasks to be done effectively, things to be organized. You need to have quarterly outcomes. You need to have project management. You need to have EVERYBODY with the right information, tools and communication so that everything is organized and on track. You're creating SPECIFIC outcomes and results. Actionable plans are in place. Definable outcomes are in place and EVERYTHING is measurable, effective, flowing, and effortless. That's the very technical "how-to" of small business administration. I could go into ALL those systems in-depth and the best way to manage all those but, that's not what specifically this video is about. This video is about the mindset that you need to have behind all of those things. Again, this is why it is applicable to you even if you have not started your business yet, or if you have a large business, or if you are not even thinking about business. Here is the mindset. As a business owner, or in life, you need to be centered at the center of your business. Understand that in life or in business there will always be a MILLION things going on. There will always be a flurry of activity - emails, phone calls, breakdown, breakthroughs, needs, and desires. All these things will ALWAYS be occurring because expansion is always occurring. Understand that your job as a business owner or as somebody who would like to be successful in life is to stay peacefully centered at the center of your business. Your job is not to be reactive to the ups and downs, the problems and successes, and all the different things. You can't ride that roller coaster. Sure! Celebrate that success when success comes and deal with the breakdown when the breakdown happens. But, you can't become emotionally invested in every moment of everything that is occurring around you. Or, you will be ABSOLUTELY stressed out. You won't be able to be effective inside your business or your life. So, the way I suggest you setting up your business administration is in a way, in any way that keeps you centered, calm, happy, clear-minded, focused, and able to create inside of your power and clarity. For me, that meant laying out my different projects, commitments, and outcomes that I was looking to create and specking out three months at a time inside of my year, a quarter at a time, and creating SPECIFIC actual results that I would like to achieve in that time. Giving plenty of space for projects to get done in the way they need to be done. Seeing it all laid out allowed me to take that out of my head and put it in front of me and allowed me to become relaxed and more centered. I would encourage you to implement some small business administrative practices that help you stay centered in the center of your business. If this video has been helpful, please let me know the insights that it brought you or some plans of action that you plan on implementing as a result. I would love to hear it. What is SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION? What does SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION mean? SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION meaning - SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION definition - SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. The Small Business Administration (SBA) is a United States government agency that provides support to entrepreneurs and small businesses. The mission of the Small Business Administration is "to maintain and strengthen the nation's economy by enabling the establishment and viability of small businesses and by assisting in the economic recovery of communities after disasters". The agency's activities are summarized as the "3 Cs" of capital, contracts and counseling. SBA loans are made through banks, credit unions and other lenders who partner with the SBA. The SBA provides a government-backed guarantee on part of the loan. Under the Recovery Act and the Small Business Jobs Act, SBA loans were enhanced to provide up to a 90 percent guarantee in order to strengthen access to capital for small businesses after credit froze in 2008. The agency had record lending volumes in late 2010. SBA helps lead the federal government's efforts to deliver 23 percent of prime federal contracts to small businesses. Small business contracting programs include efforts to ensure that certain federal contracts reach woman-owned and service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses as well as businesses participating in programs such as 8(a) and HUBZone. SBA has at least one office in each U.S. state. In addition, the agency provides grants to support counseling partners, including approximately 900 Small Business Development Centers (often located at colleges and universities), 110 Women's Business Centers, and SCORE, a volunteer mentor corps of retired and experienced business leaders with approximately 350 chapters. These counseling services provide services to over 1 million entrepreneurs and small business owners annually. President Obama announced in January 2012 that he would elevate the SBA into the Cabinet, a position it last held during the Clinton administration, thus making the Administrator of the Small Business Administration a cabinet-level position.

During the Great Recession of 2007 and 2008, millions of jobs were shed at companies across the country. As the economy began to recover, it wasn’t the corporations or multinational companies that started to hire, it was small businesses in big and small cities alike that showed signs of life. Today, nearly a decade after the crash, the Small Business Revolution is thriving, as the entrepreneurial spirit sweeps across the country. The Small Business Revolution, brought to life by the Deluxe Corporation, is a celebration of the entrepreneurial spirit. This documentary showcases the power and joy and passion of small business owners, from a local barbershop in Chicago to a food truck in Little Rock; a pizzeria in San Francisco to a business incubator in Detroit. In developing the Small Business Revolution, Deluxe sought not to point fingers at what caused the economic meltdown, but instead to celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit that all small business owners exude every day. The message of the documentary is one of hope and perseverance. As one business owner notes: “This is the hardest thing I’ve ever done.” It is true, small business is tough, yet there is joy in what is hard. Peppered with expert commentary from the likes of Robert Herjavec, celebrated entrepreneur and star of Shark Tank, Maria Contreras-Sweet, former administrator of the Small Business Administration, Melinda Emerson, the Small Biz Lady and a dozen unique small businesses from across the country, this documentary will help define the spirit and drive of small business owners as they share in their quest to capture a piece of the American Dream. #SmallBusinessRevolution #Deluxe Subscribe to our YouTube channel: https://goo.gl/kVZveD Visit Here to Learn More: http://smallbusinessrevolution.org/ Follow us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/smallbizrev Follow us on Twiiter: https://twitter.com/smbizrevolution Follow us on Instagram: http://instagram.com/smallbusinessrevolution/ Championed by Deluxe and hosted by chief brand and communications officer, Amanda Brinkman, the Small Business Revolution is a movement created to shine a spotlight on the vital impact that small businesses have on our economy, our communities and our daily lives. Independence. Originality. Belief in the bold experiment. Now more than ever, the passionate values that built America drive millions of our local businesses.

What exactly is a “small” business? The Small Business Administration uses employee size and annual sales receipts to determine which businesses are classified as small. According to the SBA, a small business is typically one that has up to 500 employees, yet in certain industries the SBA still considers a business small if they have 750 to 1,000 employees. Just take a look at these industries and what the SBA considers “small” business based on the number of employees. • Merchant Wholesalers with up to 100 employees, • Drilling Oil & Gas Well Operations with up to 500 employees, and • Manufacturers can have between 500 to 1000 employees and are still classified as small businesses. The SBA may also consider a business small if it has average annual sales receipts between $750,000 - $5,500,000. Again, it depends on the industry. The SBA also considers the following industries, “small” business if they have revenue below: • $18M for a Janitorial Service, • $20.5M for Security & Patrol Service providers, • $27.5M for staffing companies, and • $27.5 M for Freight Transportation Operations. Businesses that employ close to 500 employees and make anywhere between $750,000 and $28 M a year may be deemed small by the government, but these are not small in scale to the families and local economies they support. With the SBA loan allotment reaching its max for the year, and banks shying away from working with “small” businesses, where are these companies to turn when they need to secure financing? Here’s the good news. Invoice factoring is a fast financing solution that uses a company’s receivables to create cash flow without creating debt. SBA Loans are among the most affordable types of financing available to small businesses. Learn more: https://www.lendgenius.com/business-loans/sba-loans/ 💡💡💡 At LendGenius, it’s our mission to demystify the world of business lending to make financing more accessible to small business owners like you. No matter what business you’re in, by the end of this video, you’ll have a solid understanding of SBA Loans: what they are, why they exist, who they’re for, and most importantly, how to get one. The Small Business Administration is a government body that exists to support entrepreneurship in America. It backs third-party loans for growth activities like purchasing inventory or equipment, buying real estate, and acquiring other businesses. With rates as low as 6% & terms as long as 25 years, SBA loans are among the most inexpensive forms of financing available to small business owners. Applicable for many general business needs, the General SBA 7(a) Loan Program is a broad and well-known category providing flexible loan guarantees up to $5 million. There are also Real Estate & Equipment Loans via the CDC/504 Loan Program, which helps business owners obtain property and other tangible assets with a favorable low down-payment, fixed interest rates, and long repayment periods. And then there’s The Microloan Program, which is perfect for businesses that are looking for a loan of $50,000 or less to be used towards machinery, furniture, inventory, or supplies. Let’s not forget about the Disaster Loan Program which provides low-interest loans to replace or repair property, machinery, equipment, or inventory damaged in a disaster. But how do you qualify for an SBA Loan? The first thing you’ll have to do is complete an SBA Loan Application and eventually you’ll also be asked to produce financial documents, tax returns, legal documentation, and a business plan. Requirements may vary depending on which program you’re applying for, but don’t worry, not all SBA lenders need this much documentation. You’ll have a great chance of getting approved for an SBA Loan if you: - Have a strong credit score - Pledge collateral in the form of property or equipment - Keep detailed financial records showing strong cash flow - and produce a thoughtful business plan. Even if you meet all the qualifications, prepare for a time-consuming application and at least one month for SBA Loan approval. SBA Loans offer the lowest interest rates and longest repayment terms on small business financing - but that doesn’t mean they’re right for everyone. A business plan tells you where your business is in its life cycle and where your business is going. It tells your Bank, Lenders and Investors just how financially and economically feasible your operations are and most importantly it outlines how you plan to pay back any loans, obligations, and return on investment.

The Small Business Administration (SBA) is a U.S. government agency, formulated in 1953, that operates autonomously. This agency was established to bolster and promote the economy in general by providing assistance to small businesses. One of the largest functions of the SBA is the provision of counseling to aid individuals trying to start and grow businesses. On the agency’s website, (SBA.gov), there is a wealth of tools to assist small businesses including a small business planner and additional training programs. Localized SBA offices throughout the United States and associated territories offer in-person, one-on-one counseling services that include business plan writing instruction and assistance with small business loans. BREAKING DOWN 'Small Business Administration - SBA' The SBA offers substantial educational information with a specific focus on assisting small business startup and growth. In addition to educational events offered on the SBA’s website, local offices also provide more personalized special events for small business owners. The History of the SBA The SBA was established by President Eisenhower through the signing of the Small Business Act in the summer of 1953. In its more than six decades of existence, the SBA has been threatened on numerous occasions. The House of Representatives, controlled by the Republican party in 1996, had the SBA slated to be eliminated. However, the agency survived this threat and went on to receive a record budget in 2000. The SBA faced further threat by President Bush and his administration. Though attempts to cut the agency’s loan program saw significant resistance in Congress, the SBA’s budget was cut repeatedly each year, from 2001 to 2004, when certain SBA expenditures were frozen altogether. The SBA Loan Program The loan programs offered by the SBA are among the most visible elements the agency provides. The organization does not offer grants or direct loans, with the exception of disaster relief loans, but instead guarantees against default pieces of business loans extended by banks and other official lenders that meet the agency’s guidelines. The number one function of these loan programs is to make loans with longer repayment periods available to small businesses. The Future of the SBA As of 2016, despite numerous attempts to do away with the SBA entirely, many political officials and offices continue to support the agency. President Barack Obama and his administration have continually supported the SBA and remain backers of a substantial budget allotment for the agency. The SBA’s ability to offer loans has also been significantly strengthened by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 and the Small Business Jobs Act of 2010.
