Watch the full video on a free two week trial at https://www.AxiaFutures.com/ In this mentored trader training session Brannigan teaches a strategy for trading a one time framing market. One time framing can be defined as not taking out the opposite extreme of the prior candle and needs three or more candles to be considered in effect. The more consecutive candles you have, the more initiative present in the market. This trade strategy is therefore initiative in one direction, but not outright initiative. It is progressive, building energy over time as participants become more aggressive with their entries. With the the market not allowing anyone in easily, this leads to more people piling in at the extreme. It also doesn't let anyone out easily who's in the opposite direction. Through this process, the initiative participants run into a liquidity trap of not finding the liquidity they need and finally turn more aggressive. In this trade strategy it is important to note the shallow pull backs and the continuation extensions. With this in mind, the biggest mistake traders make with executing this strategy is entering aggressively. Rather let your entries be passive. It's only towards the end that you find the explosive aggressive flush, which is often precisely when you should be exiting. Watch the full video on a free two week trial at https://www.AxiaFutures.com/ In this live trading stream Brannigan demonstrates how to trade the one time framing strategy. This particular trading strategy does not auction like a breakout, but instead often involves a lot of two-way traded orderflow. The key to this strategy is to not get fear of missing out and execute aggressively at the extremes. Passive execution tends to yield better results for entries, and exiting on the final flush of initiative entering the market. Brannigan recommends observing one time framing on a 30min chart after at least five consecutive candles, and to begin anticipating it after three. The lesson to takeaway from this stream is the importance of identifying and defining parameters for your trading strategies. This allows you to execute methodically and review at the end of each day with improvements on execution. Gain access to more than 50 streams like this per month with professional traders. A quick morning trade hypothesis for the Bund as the day was just starting to develop on 19 April 2017. The previous day's double distribution profile had late buyers trapped and offside on the lower morning open. The potential was then open for a break back into value and test of the trendline. Watch the full video on a free two week trial at https://www.AxiaFutures.com/ This market profile trading session with Brannigan looks at potential trades being accessed from within an inside week in the oil market and the one time-framing structure have formed in the gold market. The market profiles in WTI show a consolidating, balanced market, looking to shift into an imbalanced state with initiative fueling a break to the upside. With a bias towards the recent upside move, we would be looking for short-side trades after a failure on a break higher. In gold we see an influence from the inverse dollar correlation and market profiles revealing ten days of one time-framing price action. Most recently a wedge-type structure formed on the candlestick chart, with such patterns usually concluding in washouts to the downside. A potential breakout of this nature forming at the low of an established three and a half month range, in combo with a potential to auction out untraded areas during January's advance, these lower levels become key areas for traders to be keeping an eye on for opportunity. After identifying that Eurostoxx has begun to one time frame on the 30min chart, Bran watches a buyer reload the bid at 25 and is looking to see the offer lift and start to reload 26. It's important to note the kind of order flow you want, and do not want to see on the price ladder when building your trading pattern inventory. This is a great example of Bran executing a simple pattern he has identified over time while using the order flow to manage the trade. Watch the full video on a free two week trial at https://www.AxiaFutures.com/ In this mentored trader training session, Nicholas reviews a price ladder recording of how he traded an open drive in the Bund. The replay starts four minutes into the cash session open and we can already see the buyers showing intent through the order flow. Part of Nic's hypothesis was that the market had heavily auctioned the range on a previous day, therefore increasing the probability that the Bund would either drive straight out of the range or come back to take the other side. Nic notes that in these types of plays we may want to see the momentum continue immediately and feel frustrated when it doesn't, but that it's actually better to first see the market trade some volume, accumulate positions and build energy for another leg higher. While Nic preferred pre-positioning for this trade, he explains how the higher probability trade is often on the pullback. In that scenario we would want to see the market hold above the previous day's value area and protect ground gained during the drive out. One timeframing is most often thought of as being analyzed end of day by checking where the lows and highs of the day are in relation to the prior day's extremes. If we expand our market profile distributions intraday we can not only gauge the bias but also discern possible entry and exit points for daytrades. Watch the full video on a free two week trial at https://www.AxiaFutures.com/ Alex leads this trader training session by looking at a market profile trading strategy in the Aussie Dollar FX space. We see that the previous day's low was broken off the back of the RBA meeting where relatively little had changed. Given that no fundamental change had occurred in context of sitting on a daily support zone with many potential profile targets above, any USD weakness could offer a nice bounce to the upside. Alex draws attention to many unauctioned market profile ledges and hypothesizes that a hold of support in this zone could see some of those upper targets being reached. Bob Schmidt shows you how and why to lay-out a wall during construction to a standard 16 inch on center lay-out. When laying out a top and bottom plate for a typical wall a framing square is usually the most appropriate tool. To begin, flush up top & bottom plate ends, hook tape on flush ends. The first measurement is 15 1/4 inches to side of first stud placement. Each corresponding measurement should be 3/4 of an inch shy of stud marks on typical tape measure. This will give you studs that are on 16 inch center layouts. Sixteen inch center layouts are important for several reasons: many building materials are designed to fit in a 16 inch layout, ie. insulation, medicine cabinets some tile backing inserts & ironing board inserts; when installing cabinets or trim ie. crown, baseboard, these materials need to be attached to framing. If you stay true to 16 inch centers, all you really need to do in a wall is find the first stud and the rest of the studs in the wall are always multiples of 16 inches away. Another consideration when framing a wall is to match the existing structure as far as floor joist layouts, so as to allow space to run heat ducts, plumbing pipes, wiring to electrical panels, without having wall studs in the way and saving you time and money.Hi I'm Bob Schmidt with HomeRemodelWorksho I've made videos on how to lay out on how to build your wall square inside a space how to build plumb walls how to put your framing members in so your wall is nice and flat but has been brought to my attention that I've never actually showed you how to do a typical sixteen inch layout on a stud wall Let's get to work A couple of basic tools that you're going to need to do a typical plate layout is a couple of straight plates of course one representing a top plate of the wall one representing the bottom plate but the other tools that are going to be required is either a framing square or this is called a speed square either one will work for doing what we're going to do When doing a typical layout for a wall as to where you're going to put your studs first thing you do is lay your two plates next to each other your top and bottom plates so they are nice and flush hear on the end just about every standard layout tape that i've ever seen has these red marks at the typical wall stud layout a typical mistake someone makes is they say well I'll go ahead and I'll mark the sixteen and then I'll put my stud one side or the other and we're going to be good these marks are for centers so basically what you have to do is since the width of a typical wall stud is an inch and a half which is three-quarters and three quarters as your tapes hooked on the end of the board go ahead and make your first mark at three-quarters back from every red stud mark so that would be fifteen and a quarter put an X over top of where the red is then come down to thirty one and a quarter put your X over top where the red is forty seven and a quarter and so forth and so on Every wall has to start with a stud you automatically just put an X on the end of your wall you're beginning of your wall then you go ahead and take your framing square there's a thin side to your framing square there's a fat side to your framing square the thin side to your framing square is exactly the same as an inch and a half typical stud so what you do is you take your framing square line it up on your first mark over top of both plates and you put a mark on both sides of the framing square you put an X in between both of them and you know when these plates go into place or when you're building your wall that wall framing stud needs to sit right between these marks a very good question to ask would be is why do I have to concern myself with laying these out sixteen inch on center why not just throw enough in there that it looks good well there's several reasons the basic most important reason is most building material comes in two foot increments drywall comes in four foot widths eight-foot widths or eight foot lengts twelve-foot lengths if you start a sheet of drywall in this very beginning when you get down to the other side that sheet of drywall should break right in the center of the stud having you ready for the next sheet to come off but you also have to concern yourself with what goes in the wall insulation for one example is designed to have exactly the right size to fit inbetween a sixteen inch on center layout not only is insulation a concern but also medicine cabinets are designed to fit in a typical sixteen inch layout as are ironing board fold downs as are pre premade forms for tile backers in showers so that basically a a single piece can slip into this space and give you a more of a watertight in time saving in putting some of your stuff together another huge advantage about sticking with the sixteen inch lay out

http://www.AsktheBuilder.com founder, Tim Carter, shows a nifty trick when framing walls for a house. Don't allow an interior wall to touch an exterior wall. Leave a 3/4-inch gap so you can slide drywall in one giant piece instead of having to cut it at the corners. This wall framing trick also helps prevent air infiltration because the vapor barrier and drywall are solid along the entire exterior wall surfaces of the entire house. You save lumber too because there's no need for lathe catcher studs at the intersection of the two walls.

Buy the Price Ladder & Order Flow Trading Course here: https://AxiaFutures.com/course/Trading-with-Order-Flow/?af_id=6 Have you held onto a trade for too long? This price ladder trading session with Richard looks at reading order flow for when to exit a profitable trade. In this case, there were already early clues that the Bund was in a condition that wasn't ideal for continued moves - specifically, flat delta and low overall volume. The trade took off with a move down in the Bund to .05, having just broken through a ledge and two previous day's lows. The expectation was therefore to see a quick drop down to .95. The market was then able to stay offered, without rotations back up or taking the market bid more than two prices in a row. Finally, when the Bund settled ahead of the price target level, we see the selling absorbed on the bid at .96 with the selling then drying up and the market being able to go bid more than two prices in a row. Being aware of the market condition and changes like this in order flow gives you the clues needed to profitably exit a trade and give up profits by holding on too long. www.protradecraft.com | SUBSCRIBE please See it all here: https://www.protradecraft.com/advanced-framing-dos-and-dont-bothers-architect Just because you draw it doesn't mean they'll build it that way. Know what makes sense, what the framer can execute, and forget about designing in two-foot modules. We are in high-end custom residential construction amd remodeling. Everything is overbuilt. We use extra big framing in the roof to get tons of insulation in, but we also try to strip out extra framing from the walls where possible, again, to fit more insulation. Overbuilding some parts and under-building others can seem like a paradox to some framers, so hiring progressive framers who are not afraid to think is important. Communicating with them before, during, and after the framing stage ia also important. Do: 24 inch o.c. spacing We use 24" OC framing as a norm except in high wind loads and other unique conditions often lead our structural engineer to deny. Raised Heel Trusses I like em but we never use trusses and we are often 'overbuilding;. We usually have 2x10 or 16" TJI attic floor joists which offer us a heck of a lot more room there for insulation. Also we spend a lot of time on how to detail the exterior foam board (if we have it0 and how it meets the roof. We often apply outriggers and soffits on the outside of our thermal wrap. ( we bring the foam board or insulated ZIP sheathing up to meet the roof sheathing and tape that edge and then we apply a framed ladder style soffit on top of that. Possibly with brackets. AND/OR we are building double walls and that gives us a lot more room at the heel for insulation because the wall is so deep. Headers ONLY where needed Headers are something we focus on. We make sure the framers DO NOT put in headers on non-load bearing walls. This is an easy one that they rarely think of. They all put headers everywhere no matter what when headers are not necessary at all on 50% of the house. We use box headers where possible and zero headers where not needed. Omit needless studs Also, be reasonable about the number of jacks and king studs. Sometimes the engineer requires a certain amount for structural reasons, but framers tend to overdo them just ‘because’ that is what they do. We try hard to keep the walls, corners, headers and jacks as lightly studded and as heavily insulated as possible. Don't Bother: Two Foot Modules: I always used to try to do this but I found that is made design SO rigid and unforgiving and the one time I succeeded in planning it, the framers looked at me like I had 2 heads. While they were blindly cutting whatever way they usually did, I was standing there trying to explain that there was a 2-foot module, and that it was all so much easier than they are making it. Meanwhile they just kept framing away. It also falls apart at corners and the soffits. I believe in the end it is just too difficult and variable. Like the time I successfully designed the walls so that the modules were 2 feet and everything on the outside in both vertical and horizontal directions was 4 feet/ 8 feet … I found the framers slapping up plywood across the whole damn house and cutting out the widows after! Even though I planned everything so they did not have to cut any sheathing! It was easier for them NOT to have to think. You have to have a really thoughtful framer who you have worked with a lot to have a hope in hell of achieving this. Adjust roof pitch to improve plywood efficiency: Never do that. We go for solar gain or aesthetics in choosing a roof pitch. Plywood is cheap compared to those two bigger-picture items. Also it depends EXACLTY on how the framer frames. You could be off by an inch or 2 depending on the EXACT way the framer cuts the heel and soffit and rake. I found that many framers interpret the drawings slightly differently depending on how they were trained to build. So it might mean that your careful planning actually falls flat in the field. Slide windows over to layout We try but usually the aesthetics from either inside or outside end up so bad that no one feels its worth saving a stud or two. —Elizabeth DiSalvo owns Trillium Architects in Ridgefield, CT Twitter: @TradeCraftsman | twitter.com/tradecraftsman Pinterest: @ProTradeCraft | pinterest.com/ProTradeCraft/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/protradecraft Subscribe to Pro Trade Craft's YouTube channel for regular updates

Get more information on these drills here:https://www.toolboxbuzz.com/head-to-head/best-cordless-1-2-hammer-drill/ Best Cordless 1/2" Hammer Drill - Head -to-Head Arguably the most used tool of any trade is the ½” cordless drill. The first handheld electric drill was brought to market by Black and Decker in 1917, and the cordless drill was also developed by Black and Decker in 1961. Since then many manufacturers have contributed to the design and improvements by incorporating lithium ion batteries, hammer drill functionality, and most recently, brushless motors. For this head-to-head we’ve asked 12 manufacturers to send us their top-of-the-line 18 to 22 volt ½” hammer drill drivers. We asked manufacturers to keep their batteries in the 6.0 Ah range. The Tool Box Buzz Crew put these drills through the paces with a battery of tough tests to see which is fastest, has the longest run-time, the best ergonomics, and the most power in day-to-day job site use. If you’re that guy that wants ALL the information, and stats on these tools, then you need to read the article on TTB.com. The article ALWAYS is more detailed! Hammer Drill Test Criteria We strive to make these tests as fair as possible by ensuring that we use the same accessories, average out multiple tests, design tests that have consistent, repeatable, results, and eliminate the human error when we can. There are endless testing situations for any tool so we discuss the tool in question and try to develop tests that users can relate to. For this head-to-head we decided to focus mostly on productivity. In order to do that, we looked at several common uses for hammer drills, focusing on speed and endurance. We chose common tasks that our crew, or sub-contractors perform on a regular basis to provide a good comparison of relative performance. Testing Stations Performance Drilling Sled: 7/8” x 18” auger bit drilled thru 6” of framing lumber. 3/8″ x 6″ TimberLOKs– Ave Drive Time to install 6 fasteners in framing lumber. 2-9/16 Self-feeding Bit– Ave Drive Time to drill 6 holes in framing lumber. 3/16 Masonry Bit– Ave time to drill 6 holes [preset depth] into precast concrete. Ergonomics and features - This is a round table discussion with the entire crew to develop the rankings.

Ever wondered what you were thinking after making a bad decision? Daniel Kahneman explains. To learn more visit our special series, Insider Employers' Minds: http://bigthink.com/blogs/inside-employers-minds Daniel Kahneman: People are not fully rational and they do—they make many choices that if they reflected upon them they would do differently. There is no question about that. And we have a fair understanding actually of what is happening. At least at the individual level my sense is that we have explored a lot of what is happening. I wouldn't say there is going to be no further progress, but we have explored a lot. The major tendencies, well, the major tendencies . . . people tend to frame things very narrowly. They take a narrow view of decision-making. They look at the problem at hand and they deal with it as if it were the only problem. Very frequently, it's a better idea to look at problems as they will recur throughout your life and then you look at the policy that you're to adopt for a class of problems -- difficult to do; would be a better thing. People frame things narrowly in the sense, for example, that they will save and borrow at the same time instead of somehow treating their whole portfolio of assets as one thing. If people were able to take a broader view they would, in general, make better decisions. So that is certainly one of the weaknesses of human decision-making. We call it narrow framing. Mental accounting is a big deal. This is the way that we live, so we have—we keep our money in different mental accounts for which we have different rules, so people will—well of course they spend their spending money, but then there is a hierarchy of the accounts that they will touch. They will spend money that they have stored for vacation quite often before they will spend whatever they're thinking of as savings for their children's education. So those are mental accounts for which people have different rules. More foolishly—this is pretty sensible because mental accounting is a tool of self control—but more foolishly, investors tend to view each stock that they buy as a mental account and they want to sell it when it is a winner. And so they tend to sell their winners and to hang onto their losers in their portfolio and that turns out to make them substantially poorer than if they had done things differently. You need to be numerate for certain kinds of decisions. So numerate people have a significant advantage over those who are not. Understanding compound interest makes a huge difference whether you're a credit card borrower or somebody with savings. People have a very hazy idea of compound interest, and it is very detrimental. So I would say that first of all you need to be numerate, but many people aren't. Then you need to frame things broadly. It frequently goes with numeracy, but it's not quite the same thing. And then by taking the broad view, it is very important not to have overly strong emotional reactions to events. And what I mean by that is that most of us tend to respond to gains and to losses, to changes that happen in our life. Actually you're better off if you frame things broadly and you think of . . . you win a few, you lose a few... and you have very limited emotional response to small gains and to small losses. That tends to induce better decision-making. Directed / Produced byJonathan Fowler & Elizabeth Rodd

Moving your front door to a new location is easier than you think! Especially when it's in an old house like this one. Follow along as we share trade secrets to a water tight entry door that is sealed up against water and air infiltration. The secret to a front door is knowing that just about every door has a R5 rating for insulation purposes. what sets the expensive doors apart is the quality of the finishes and the air seal. If you install a cheap exterior door from the building store you can get a superior result by following this example and spending the time to install it square plumb and flush. This way a $200.00 door will perform just as well as a $1000.00 door. Cheers!
