Today we will learn: 1. What are Volumes 2. How to create / list / delete volumes 3. How to attach volume to a container 4. How to share volume among containers 5. What are bind mounts Volumes are the preferred mechanism for persisting data generated by and used by Docker containers : docker volume //get information : docker volume create : docker volume ls : docker volume inspect : docker volume rm : docker volume prune Use of Volumes =========== Decoupling container from storage Share volume (storage/data) among different containers Attach volume to container On deleting container volume does not delete Commands docker run --name MyJenkins1 -v myvol1:/var/jenkins_home -p 8080:8080 -p 50000:50000 jenkins docker run --name MyJenkins2 -v myvol1:/var/jenkins_home -p 9090:8080 -p 60000:50000 jenkins ocker run --name MyJenkins3 -v /Users/raghav/Desktop/Jenkins_Home:/var/jenkins_home -p 9191:8080 -p 40000:50000 jenkins References https://hub.docker.com/_/jenkins/ https://docs.docker.com/storage/volumes/ NOTES By default all files created inside a container are stored on a writable container layer The data doesn’t persist when that container is no longer running A container’s writable layer is tightly coupled to the host machine where the container is running. You can’t easily move the data somewhere else. Docker has two options for containers to store files in the host machine so that the files are persisted even after the container stops VOLUMES and BIND MOUNTS Volumes are stored in a part of the host filesystem which is managed by Docker Non-Docker processes should not modify this part of the filesystem Bind mounts may be stored anywhere on the host system Non-Docker processes on the Docker host or a Docker container can modify them at any time In Bind Mounts, the file or directory is referenced by its full path on the host machine. Volumes are the best way to persist data in Docker volumes are managed by Docker and are isolated from the core functionality of the host machine A given volume can be mounted into multiple containers simultaneously. When no running container is using a volume, the volume is still available to Docker and is not removed automatically. You can remove unused volumes using docker volume prune. When you mount a volume, it may be named or anonymous. Anonymous volumes are not given an explicit name when they are first mounted into a container Volumes also support the use of volume drivers, which allow you to store your data on remote hosts or cloud providers, among other possibilities. #DockerVolume #DockerBindMount #DockerContainers #DockerTutorials #DockerTraining #DevOpsTools #DevOpsTraining #DockerCommands #DockerForBeginners #DockerFreeTutorials #DockerforDevOps DOCKER PLAYLIST https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLhW3qG5bs-L99pQsZ74f-LC-tOEsBp2rK YOUTUBE PLAYLIST https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCTt7pyY-o0eltq14glaG5dg/playlists YOUTUBE https://www.youtube.com/automationstepbystep FACEBOOK https://www.facebook.com/automationstepbystep TWITTER https://twitter.com/automationsbs If you like videos on the channel Automation Step by Step, hit the like button and share with others. FunDuhMentals: How to set up your snowboard bindings with Danny Kass Your stance on a snowboard should be about shoulder width, with approximately 15 degrees of angle on your front binding and around 0 degrees in the back. Experiment and find what's most comfortable for you, in the end it's individual preference. Bindings and boards have standardized mounting systems, and almost all are are compatible. If unsure, consult a local shop. Determine your stance width. It should be comfortable and generally a bit wider than your shoulders. Use the distance from your kneecap to your heel for a standard stance width. Mount your front binding with 15 degrees of positive angle. This is a basic starting point, and it helps open your hips for initiating turns. Mount your back binding at 0 degrees. Follow the reference stance on your board. If you want to ride park, center the stance on the board and add negative angle on the back binding. This creates a slight “duck” stance for riding switch. Set your stance back to create a longer nose and more float for powder days. As you progress, experiment with your stance and find what’s confortable—more angle, less angle, wider, narrower, etc. Each adjustment fits your riding style to the board and to the conditions. While I still think that this is a convenient binding solution for the casual snowboarder, there are a few considerations to know about before committing to your purchase. The biggest drawback is definitely the lack of width adjustability for setting up your stance, followed by the limited options you have for boots. Burton will be offering more boots to choose from next season, and the entry level price point is actually pretty reasonable. However, you will still be only be able to pair these bindings with a handful of Burton boots. As far as play in the binding goes this definitely does have some impact on responsiveness, but there is a little give and play in all bindings so I think the effect is negligible; especially compared to other common issues such as heel lift. I hope you guys find this video useful! Let me know your thoughts below, thanks for watching.

Arbor Cypress Binding Review · Boards: Arbor Shreddy Krueger, Arbor Cosa Nostra, Arbor Iguchi Pro · Bindings: Arbor Cypress · Boots: K2 Ender (MM), Burton Ion, Adidas Ultraboost (SS) Affordable high end performance. The Arbor bindings have flown under the radar a bit since their introduction. Up against the biggest brands in snowboarding who have been in the binding game for years, Arbor had a big hill to climb to win over consumers to go away from better known options. These bindings feel and ride great, if it’s time for new bindings these should definitely make the list for bindings to check out. Engineered by Alex Warburton, the mind behind Now Bindings and Yes Snowboards product design, the Arbor bindings take some of the same concepts addressed with Now and apply them differently through a different design. With the X drive baseplate concept the binding has 4 main points of contact and coupled with the mini disc design EVA padding through the bottom of the tray, dead spots in the flex of the binding are kept to a minimum. The minimalist straps are really comfortable, no pressure points and generally really nice even hold. Ratchets and ladders are also smooth and held up well to lots of use over the course of last season. We rode the Cypress model, the higher end stiffer men’s binding from Arbor. It’s smooth; power and energy transfer from edge to edge, lateral support all feel seamless. They are responsive and powerful without feeling punishingly stiff. If you like to ride fast and aggressive the Cypress binding is gear that will keep up with you. These bindings are also extremely affordable compared to a lot of other bindings out there so you get really high end performing bindings at the mid price range. Gripes, there aren’t many. Mostly they are a bit of a pain to do some of the adjustments. Things like heel cup slide and highback rotation adjustments aren’t as easy as some other brands, and we would like to see more thought put into the highback rotation function and how it affects the highback to heelcup fit. That being said, once they are set to your boot there’s really no reason to make those adjustments again, and the way the highbacks flex, the rotation aspect isn’t needed as much as with other highback designs out there so these gripes are very mellow. Overall feeling: if you want a binding that performs at the high end of the spectrum without breaking the bank then definitely check these out. For us the Arbor Cypress binding has become part of the quiver and is on regular rotation on our boards. It’s smooth, comfortable and solid feeling, what else are you really looking for? Huge thanks to: @mtseymour for providing us a ‘Home Mountain’ and ideal multi-terrain testing ground for season 1 and 2 @cariboobrewing for keeping us hydrated and providing us some studio space, talking is thirsty work @sandboxland for the sweet lid and goggle combo (safety first!!) Docker has two options for containers to store files in the host machine, so that the files are persisted even after the container stops: volumes, and bind mounts. If you’re running Docker on Linux you can also use a tmpfs mount.

We'll need a base plate, tow bar wiring, a braking system, a tow bar and finally safety cables. Our base plate is gonna be the solid connection point that we hook our tow bar up to when we wanna flat tow or Fiat. It's gonna spread that towing force across the front of the vehicle, so it puts less strain and stress on our front suspension. For our Fiat, we went with the Roadmaster cross-bar style base plate for a few different reasons. One of the main reasons why we chose this one is because it is gonna be a very straight-forward install. We are gonna have to remove the fascia, but it's gonna bolt right up without having to drill any new holes into the vehicle.Another big reason we went with this one is because the arms here are removable. We can twist them and they'll come out, and we'll have a really clean look on the front of our Fiat. And we can always remove the quick disconnect so we don't have the cable in the front whenever we're not towing. One thing to keep in mind is, there are several different models of Fiat 500s, so you wanna double-check E-Sure's 00:01:12 fit guide and make sure you get the correct base plate. Our wiring is gonna allow us to take the signal from our motor home and transfer it to our Fiat, so when we're driving down the road, everybody knows if we're changing lanes, braking or anything else that's going on.With ours, we chose to use the Roadmaster high powered diode wiring kit for a few different reasons. It's gonna give us a four pull flat trailer connector at the front of our Fiat, and it comes with the umbilical to connect the front of our Fiat to the back of our motor home. But also because this is gonna be a universal kit. It's gonna come with the four diodes, all the wires and everything else we need to get it in place. But the way it's gonna work is we're gonna have a signal coming in from our factory tail light as well as from the wiring that we run, and then we'll have a single output that's gonna go to our tail light housing. That way, whenever we're flat towing, our lights on our Fiat are gonna match the lights on our motor home. But when we're not driving, everything will work normally. Now a big benefit to the diode style of wiring is the fact that it's gonna be a permanent install and it's not gonna change the outward appearance of our Fiat at all. It's all gonna be hidden behind the tail lights, and we're not gonna have to set anything up every time we tow.Now our braking system is gonna provide that braking action to your Fiat while you're towing it. That's gonna help out your motor home a lot, because it's gonna take that strain and stress off the brakes because of how much weight we're adding. On our Fiat, we installed the stay and play duo because it's gonna be a truly proportional braking system, which means that however our motor home brakes, we ease into a stop at a stoplight, this will apply a light pressure at the same time. But then again, if we have a panic stop and slam on our brakes in our motor home, our stay and play is gonna apply the same amount of pressure to our Fiat. One thing to keep in mind about the Fiat is that the brake pedal is rather small. So some of the portable braking systems that have a clamp that goes around the brake pedal, they're not gonna work. But a way our stay and play's gonna work is we're gonna have this actuator that's actually gonna wrap around the arm of the brake pedal, so we don't have to worry about the pedal itself.Another thing is, our stay and play is gonna be great for motor homes that have hydraulic brakes on it. If you happen to have air brakes in your motor home, there are options specifically made for motor homes with air brakes. The tow bar is gonna be the actual connection point between our base plate and the back of our motor home. Now we chose to go with a Roadmaster Falcon all-terrain for a few different reasons. One, it's gonna be a motor home mount tow bar which means it's gonna slide directly into the receiver tube. You're not gonna have to worry about a ball mount or any other kind of cup or style, it's just gonna go straight in there.Another thing that's gonna set our tow bar apart from other is the fact that it's gonna be non-binding. So whenever we're towing and the arms extend out and

The Fritschi Tecton 12 is a unique and revolutionary binding which combines all the virtues of lightness and ease of use with alpine style heel performance. It uses the now tried and trusted Vipec toe with its DIN 12 lateral release and elasticity, but combines it with a heel system which incorporates a vertical rail and power cup which grips the heel with an alpine binding style tenacity. Refinements in the toe area means engaging the toe pins is simplicity itself, with a buffer to precisely position the toe and a far more positive pin closure, plus the emergency release when falling forward is safer and more effective. However, the real secret in the Tectons' power lies in the way the heel unit is constructed. The unique Power Rail system engages fully into the pin recess in the heel of the boot and is held securely in place by the Power Cup. This gives a vice-like grip of the heel which eradicates lateral movement and ensures the power is transmitted directly to the edge of the ski via the Step Plate, thus ensuring alpine-like performance in piste and freeride situations. The heel unit also features a 9mm frontal release elasticity which prevents pre-release and dramatically reduces the tensile forces on the lower leg in the event of a forward fall. Other refinements include easy-to-use step height adjustments and with an extremely low weight of 1.1 kilos per pair this is a very attractive binding to full-time Ski Tourers as well as Freeriders and Free Tourers. THE TECTON WILL BE AVAILABLE IN STOCK FROM MID-SEPTEMBER ONWARDS, DEMAND IS ALREADY HIGH SO RING US NOW TO RESERVE YOURS! FEATURES AND SPECS. If Sondre Norheim could have skied the Voilé X2 Telemark Binding, he might never have left the mountains of Norway for the flatlands of North Dakota. The X2 sums up 35 years of telemark binding innovation and evolution from Voilé. One of the hallmarks of that body of work is our consistent abandonment of the use of flexible (and breakable) cables. Stranded wires may be great for moving electrons, but for transferring turning forces to a ski, our own tenet of rigid coiled springs, steel rods and spring-loaded cartridges has more than proven itself over time. In 2007, we took a cue from the randonnée world and introduced the now-legendary, Voilé Switchback, a telemark binding with a foolproof, free-pivot option that greatly facilitates climbing. (And does so with the simple flick of a ski pole.) Built on the success of the Switchback, the X2 is a beefier, more-active, binding—but still an uphill wonder. And wrapped up in a sleek, minimalist design that a Scandinavian would admire and that lives up to a Voilé credo: Less is ALWAYS more. Optimized for maximum power transfer, the X2 is augmented with stiffer cartridges, a much-longer toe plate and a boot pivot point relocated 26mm to the rear. The happy result is a powerful binding with superb downhill performance and the added efficiency of much-easier uphill travel. With regard to the latter, the X2 and Switchback, as well as our 3-Pin Hardware, all feature dual-height climbing elevators. When you reach the top of your toil, just “switch back” to the X2’s downhill mode, and you’ll soon be making turns that would even make Sondre jealous.

PROGRESSIVE WAKEBOARDING Five seasons ago, we at Hyperlite forever changed the way riders look at their boot to board connection. The System introduced a new way to build the industry’s best support, comfort and board control into our boots and bindings. Four years later we have gone beyond, improving an already revolutionary design. The all-new System binding utilizes a Polycarbonate chassis design and a highback built with our exclusive Urethane formula. These two lightweight components allow a rider the benefit of maximum support and board control, while still allowing for a great range of motion. Both System binding options offer a totally baseless design and for those looking for additional impact protection the Pro version now comes with a removable EVA footpad. The new System bindings are designed to work specifically with our new line of System footwear. Each boot in the line offers a different degree of flex and feel for every style or ride.
