Why do you have schools and foundations? And why do you speak? | J. Krishnamurti

06:52
Brockwood Park 1980 - Question #1 from Question and Answer Meeting #1 'You have spoken so much against organisations, so why do you have schools and foundations? And why do you speak?' This channel is managed by the Krishnamurti Foundation Trust, UK, and by the Krishnamurti Foundation of America. The role of the foundations was described by Krishnamurti when he said, 'The foundations will see to it that these teachings are kept whole, are not distorted, are not made corrupt. They will not give rise to any sectarian spirit in their activities... nor create any kind of place of worship around the teachings or the person.' We maintain extensive archives of Krishnamurti's original works and all four Krishnamurti foundations are actively engaged in the publication of material in various forms. Our videos contain thousands of subtitles in more than 25 languages, translated by volunteers from all over the world. Minnetonka Public Schools Foundation: Teacher Grants 2018

02:21
Each year, Minnetonka teachers submit grant requests for creative, educational ideas and programs they would like to implement for their students. Teacher Grants enhance all academic subject areas, technology, fine arts, early childhood education, special education and community service at all six District elementary schools, both middle schools, the high school and Early Childhood Family Education. Without the Teacher Grant Program, most of these enrichments would not have been possible. Fundraising for the Teacher Grant Program includes a community-wide appeal each fall, as well as two special appeals that honor Minnetonka teachers and staff members with biscotti & cocoa in December and Cookie Grams in May/June.

"Legal Foundations and History of Male / Female in Jurisprudence" - Newman Lecture with Helen Alvare

01:21:53
The 2017-2018 Newman Lecture series seeks to explore what science and faith have to offer on the equality, difference, and complementarity of man and woman. Man and woman are equal in value and dignity. They are also equally human. Nonetheless, in addition to many similarities, there are also significant differences that, when understood, can be seen as the basis for their unique complementarity. This 2017-2018 series identifies the psychological, social, economic, philosophical, legal, and spiritual dimensions of being man or woman, in the light of the truth that Christ brings to understanding the human reality. ---- Helen Alvaré is a Professor of Law at Antonin Scalia Law School, George Mason University, where she teaches Family Law, Law and Religion, and Property Law. She publishes on matters concerning marriage, parenting, non-marital households, and the First Amendment religion clauses. She is faculty advisor to the law school’s Civil Rights Law Journal, and the Latino/a Law Student Association, a consultor for the Pontifical Council of the Laity (Vatican City), an advisor to the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (Washington, D.C.), founder of WomenSpeakforThemselves.com, and an ABC news consultant. She cooperates with the Permanent Observer Mission of the Holy See to the United Nations as a speaker and a delegate to various United Nations conferences concerning women and the family. In addition to her books, and her publications in law reviews and other academic journals, Professor Alvaré publishes regularly in news outlets including the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Huffington Post, and USA Today. She also speaks at academic and professional conferences in the United States, Europe, Latin America and Australia. Prior to joining the faculty of Scalia Law, Professor Alvaré taught at the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America; represented the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops before legislative bodies, academic audiences and the media; and was a litigation attorney for the Philadelphia law firm of Stradley, Ronon, Stevens & Young. Professor Alvaré received her law degree from Cornell University School of Law and her master’s degree in Systematic Theology from the Catholic University of America.
Ken Ham's Foundations: Revealing the Unknown God - Clip

05:02
American culture has changed substantially since the Bible was taken out of our public schools in 1963, but our approach to evangelism has not. To reach people in our modern world requires a different approach. The key is to "de-Greekize" our families and our churches, beginning with ourselves! To truly reach today's culture we have to help them understand that God's Word is true from the very beginning. Please watch this great clip from Ken Ham's DVD: "Revealing the Unknown God". It's part of his Answers in Genesis "Foundations" series. The entire 12 part DVD set or just this single DVD can be purchased at the Answers in Genesis Store: http://www.answersingenesis.org/store/product/ken-ham-foundations/ http://www.answersingenesis.org/store/product/foundations-revealing-unknown-god/ Also feel free to visit my Christian apologetics website: http://www.belt-of-truth.com/ Sean Kirkpatrick

If the Foundations be Destroyed... - Building Blocks of Education - David Rives

02:01
In 1915 the Bible was required reading in most public schools. Legal ordinances in Tennessee directed that 10 verses of the Bible must be read daily in schools. In 1923, two anti-evolution bills were passed, and textbooks in Oklahoma were banned for their teaching of "Materialist Conception of History (i.e.) the Darwin Theory of Creation." William Jennings Bryan stated that there would be "demoralization involved in accepting a brute ancestry" and in 1925, under the order of Tennessee legislature, a bill was passed making it a crime "to teach any theory that denies the story of the Divine Creation of man as taught in the Bible, and to teach instead, that man had descended from a lower order of animal." It was soon after that the ACLU stepped in, and the Summer of '25 saw the beginning of the "Scopes' Monkey Trial" Over 85 years later, the view of "Divine Creation" held so highly in 1925, has been eliminated by the public school system, and the religion of evolution is regarded as fact. Even as late as the 1940's, evolutionary doctrine was still highly censored from textbooks, yet today, one would do well to find even a casual mention of other theories of origin. The very building-blocks of education have crumbled from the anti-Biblical theories of Darwinian evolution. Genesis 1 gives us a historical account of exactly how we came to be, and it doesn't involve monkeys losing their tails. I'm David Rives... Truly, The Heavens Declare the Glory of God.
