The most striking finding is the almost 52 gaps in operating incomes between companies with highly engaged employees and companies whose employees have low-engagement scores. High-engagement companies improved 19.2 while low-engagement companies declined 32.7 in operating income during the study period. For example, New Century Financial Corporation, a U.S. specialty mortgage banking company, found that account executives in the wholesale division who were actively disengaged produced 28 less revenue than their colleagues who were engaged. Furthermore, those not engaged generated 23 less revenue than their engaged counterparts. Engaged employees also outperformed the not engaged and actively disengaged employees in other divisions. Generating engagement Commitment theories are rather based on creating conditions, under which the employee will feel compelled to work for an organization, whereas engagement theories aim to bring about a situation in which the employee by free choice has an intrinsic desire to work in the best interests of the organization. Recent research has focused on developing a better understanding of how variables such as quality of work relationships and values of the organization interact, and their link to important work outcomes. 84 of highly engaged employees believe they can positively impact the quality of their organizations products, compared with only 31 percent of the disengaged. From the perspective of the employee, outcomes range from strong commitment to the isolation of oneself from the organization. The study done by the Gallup Management Journal has shown that only 29 of employees are actively engaged in their jobs. Those engaged employees work with passion and feel a strong connection to their company. About of the business units scoring above the median on employee engagement also scored above the median on performance. Moreover, 54 of employees are not engaged meaning that they go through each workday putting time but no passion into their work. Only about of companies below the median on employee engagement scored above the median on performance. Access to a reliable model enables organizations to conduct validation studies to establish the relationship of employee engagement to productivity/performance and other measures linked to effectiveness. It is an important principle of industrial and organizational psychology i.e. the application of psychological theories, research methods, and intervention strategies involving workplace issues that validation studies should be anchored in reliable scales i.e. organized and related groups of items and not simply focus on individual elements in isolation. To understand how high levels of employee engagement affect organizational performance/productivity it is important to have an a priori model that demonstrates how the scales interact. There is also overlap between this concept and those relating to well-being at work and the psychological contract. Research by Gallup Consulting has shown a strong correlation between the degree of well-being of an individual and the extent to which they are engaged as an employee - high well-being yields high engagement. A well and engaged employee is likely to have less sick days, lowering the cost of lost productivity to their organization, and come to work energized and focused. A well and engaged employee is efficient and effective and a valuable asset in the workplace. As employee productivity is clearly connected with employee engagement, creating an environment that encourages employee engagement is considered to be essential in the effective management of human capital. Drivers of engagement While it is possible to measure engagement itself through employee surveys, this does not assist in identifying areas for improvement within organisations. Hire Her? - MGTOW "Hi Sandman, This is Cali Breeze I live in Sacramento California. I'm an economist and international trade specialist for the State of California. I have just returned Japan after 8 years and I am astonished about the character of woman here in California. Especially in the office. I believe men to a large part have grossly underestimated the intent of woman to remove men from all office jobs through the feminists / the sisterhood movement. Since coming back to California the office dynamics are 4 to 1. 1 man for every 4 women. With woman openly proclaiming “It’s a war between the sexes!”. I’ve never heard men say anything of the sort so I find it quite obvious this is a deliberate posture woman hold to men. Most recently, I was a part of a business development project, which I needed to be involved with the recruitment for the positions being filled. The Human Resources Manager who was a woman continued to bring me stack after stack of woman applicants. I thought to myself, surely, this could not be accurate that the only qualified candidates are women. With that, I began paying attention to those that head HR divisions and suddenly became aware that 95% of the Human Resources Directors and managers in other state agency offices as well including the staff in those offices were all woman. How could this be!? I began to be concerned and started reaching out to friends both male and female who I knew were actively looking for a job. I would ask them who was it that interviewed them and 98% of the time in response they would indicate that a woman had interviewed them. Now it's become crystal clear that the absence of men in office was not because they were outmatched this was a deliberate result of women in Human Resources divisions targeting men for the exclusion of candidacy. I’ve also been noticing woman messages with comments such as “Pass on and teach your sister the way”. When I first saw that saying I didn’t know what it meant. Now months later that too is clear. Now when I see women in packs or groups eating or walking during lunch, or that the vast majority of commuters in morning traffic are women I now see them in a more accurate light for what they are thanks to MGTOW. Woman uniting against men. This is an urgent matter for men! Woman are targeting Human Resource and staffing positions so they can control who is hired or who gets a paycheck. Here are some additional points to consider: A woman can make 60 to 80,000.00 USD a year as an H.R. Manager. Human Resource Division are controlled by biased recruitment practices as they are managed by women. Men cannot find jobs because of sexist discriminative practices of woman managed Human Resources divisions.Men need to actively approach the heads of their companies to point out the imbalance of human resource divisions in their companies. Men we need to start actively looking out for each other and coming together our lives, careers, futures depend on it. I believe woman know this, that the HR industry and thus recruitment mechanism is dominated by women and thus money. Etihad’s sweeping reorganisation plans
Etihad Aviation Group has announced a new organisational structure and operating model that will see it reorganised into seven distinct business divisions under CEO Tony Douglas, with current Etihad Airways CEO Peter Baumgartner moving into a strategic advisor role, the company announced last week. The changes – effective immediately – will see the group organised into an operations division, as well as commercial, maintenance, repair and overhaul human resources, finance, support services and transformation divisions, led by a new executive leadership team reporting to group CEO Tony Douglas, who also assumes responsibility for Etihad Airways. "Etihad is now positioned to continue supporting the mandate of our shareholder, and the growth and prominence of Abu Dhabi,” Douglas said of the changes. For 2017, Etihad Aviation Group’s core airline division reported a 22 percent improvement in core operating performance, driven by improved revenues of $6.1 billion and a 7.3 percent reduction in unit costs, albeit with losses of more than a billion and a half dollars that indicate the airline is still having to cope with the effects of a strategy that saw it absorb impacts from partners Alitalia and Airberlin which went into administration. Before joining Merlin, Keith spent five years at Starbucks Coffee Company as VP of Information Technology where he was responsible for teams supporting worldwide systems for the financial, supply chain, retail, and human resources divisions. Keith has been extremely fortunate to have been in leadership roles with two top ten internet companies, major retailers, and overseen major business and technology change in several different industry verticals. Field trips give students educational experiences away from their regular school environment; most common field trip sites include zoos, nature centers, natural and science museums. What if students could visit and study a corporate company or popular mainstream business for a few hours? A select group of Alief Crossroads students and staff members are invited to get off the bench and learn from Houston’s top innovative companies and businesses. The 2017-2018 Crossroads HS student cohort will visit several upscale companies in the Houston area such as the Marriott, Paul Mitchell, the Houston Rockets, and Citgo. During each visit, our students will talk with multiple department heads, view the facilities, learn about company standards, corporate tenets, leadership, culture, and professional communication; learning from some of the nation’s top businesses, who are cultivating innovation, can greatly influence our students’ career choices. At the heart of Crossroads High School, it is our mission to grow learners by providing engaging, effective, and customized facilitation of professional learning/training and coaching opportunities. During the past eleven (11) years, Crossroads High School has partnered with more than thirty (30) universities/colleges, businesses, and organizations in our surrounding area to expose our students to a multitude of post-secondary options.
