But let's have a look at the consequences of never sleeping again. After one day without sleep, you’ll feel better than ever. The reason for these strange feelings lies in the fact that your brain increases dopamine levels trying to compensate your lack of sleep. However, closer to the end of the day, this happy mood is evaporating. It's strictly "not recommended" to drive in such a state, as it may turn extremely dangerous when you're sleep deprived. After two days without sleep your body will have less and less energy, and you will begin to look pale and a bit ill. What is even worse, your immune system will start to let you down becoming less efficient. Your judgment will get impaired. What is more, the effects of the absence of sleep will be getting worse and worse, and after a short time, the body will begin to shut down. This means that after three sleepless days you'll be unable to function or communicate normally. If you manage to fall asleep on the 11th day, shockingly, there won't be any long-term health effects. Let’s keep this nasty snowball going. The next major trouble you’ll face is that you'd become way more prone to different types of infections. Since washing your hair and scalp come along with showering, then prepare yourself for some major itching on your head. As for a whole year without washing your face in the shower, your face would be covered in zits! And, of course, where there’s bacteria and broken skin, there can be infections and health problems, so it’s not just all about aesthetics here. There’s actually a guy named Rob Greenfield who went a whole year without showering. According to the experts, there are a couple of tips that you should follow in order to shower the right way. Make sure the water temperature is not too hot because hot water will suck the moisture from your skin by removing a lot of your natural oils. Long showers can dry out your skin as well. Democrat Introduces Articles Of Impeachment Against Trump – But Is It Too Soon?

Democratic Representative Al Green put forward articles of impeachment in the House of Representatives against Donald Trump this week, but many of his Democratic colleagues are not on board with this effort. Green backed off his motion rather quickly, but this is not the first time that he’s done this. Is he wasting our shot at impeachment by jumping too soon, or is he helping to bring the issue to the mainstream? On Wednesday of this week Democratic representative, Al Green, from the state of Texas introduced articles of impeachment against Donald Trump. This is not the first time that Green has introduced articles of impeachment, but this time he decided to introduce them as privileged, meaning that they had to be debated within two days, then if the debate allows it, come to the floor for a full vote. Republicans in the House then decided okay, well, let's go ahead and debate these now, and Green was nowhere to be found. The debate died and the articles effectively, at that point, died and Green decided not to push them any further at the moment. Here's the problem with what Al Green has been doing. It's too early for impeachment. We do not yet have enough evidence of high crimes or misdemeanors to convict Donald Trump in Congress. We don't. It's a sad reality, but it is a reality. We do not yet have that evidence. Now, we could, we likely will, once we get the results of the Mueller investigation, which is chugging ahead forward and Trump's lawyers have said that they might be open to Donald Trump actually speaking with Mueller or, I guess, being interrogated really by Mueller as part of the ongoing investigation. But Al Green is jumping the gun here. When it comes to impeachment, we're basically going to get one shot. The public momentum supporting impeachment is growing, so why would you waste it on a shot that you know wouldn't work? Al Green admitted going into this that he obviously didn't have the support of the Republicans, but he also didn't have support from the Democrats. So, what was the point of this? Was it symbolic or are you really trying to screw us all over by jumping the gun before it's time to go on this? We all, as Democrats in this country, I'm pretty sure I can speak for 99.9% of us at this point, we all want Trump out of office. That's not what this is about right now. This is about overstepping our abilities. We have to wait for the evidence. Now, having said that, there are plenty of other means, specifically the 25th Amendment, several different avenues that, by which we could remove Donald Trump. Work with that. Use the 25th Amendment for what it was created for and get this madman out of office. But if you try to go forward with articles of impeachment when you admit we don't have enough evidence, when you admit that we do not have the numbers to pass it, you're going to screw all of us in this country who want this man out of office. Got to be patient. I know it's hard. I know it's hard when we see the damage that Donald Trump is doing to this country, tweeting out that, hey, Puerto Rico, I'm going to have to pull FEMA and everybody out of there. You got to do this on your own. Best of luck to you. Well, he didn't even say best of luck. He accused them of basically causing the crisis that the hurricane caused. It sucks. It really does. But we get one shot at impeachment. So, please, how about we wait until we have enough evidence, enough solid evidence, that we can guarantee a conviction and a vote to remove him from office?

In a compelling and perhaps terrifying exploration of this world (based on his essay featured in Meanjin), futurist, inventor and author Mark Pesce will reveal the wiring under the map. What happens next will surprise - and shock - you. Bio MARK PESCE is an inventor, author, educator, broadcaster and entrepreneur. In 1991 he founded Ono-Sendai Corporation, the first consumer virtual reality startup, inventing a orientation sensor (US Patent 5,526,022) for low-cost virtual reality applications, adopted by Sega Corporation for their Virtua VR head-mounted display. In 1994, Pesce co-invented the Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML), the first standard for interactive 3D graphics on the World Wide Web. While running the VRML Architecture Group, a consortium of industry and academic stakeholders furthering VRML standards development, Pesce founded BlitCom, the first startup to use VRML to deliver streaming entertainment. In 1998, Pesce was invited to found the Graduate Program in Interactive Media at the University of Southern California’s world-famous School of Cinema-Television, teaching the next generation of creative professionals how to master emerging technologies for storytelling. In 2003, Mark was invited to Sydney to establish the Program in Emerging Media at the Australian Film Television and Radio School, and continues to work with students through his Honorary Appointment in the Digital Cultures Program at the University of Sydney and his recent appointment as Honorary Adjunct at the Animal Logic Academy, University of Technology, Sydney. Pesce writes fortnightly a column for the internationally respected tech publication The Register, where he frequently contributes feature articles on virtual and mixed reality. For seven years Pesce was a panelist and judge on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s hit series The New Inventors, celebrating Australia’s newest inventions and inventors. He currently hosts This Week in Startups Australia, the nation’s leading tech podcast, while editing and contributing to GHVR (medium.com/ghvr), offering some of the keenest insights into VR/AR/MR. Core Body Temperature Explanation Core body temperature is low at night, rises quickly upon awakening and reaches a maximum in the early evening, and lowers before bedtime The optimal body temperature for strength training normally occurs in the late afternoon to early evening 3:30pm till 8:30pm During this time window, one has an optimal nerve conduction velocity, joint mobility, glucose metabolism and muscular blood flow - this is because core body temperature is the temperature at which your central organs operate Enzymatic reactions are extremely sensitive to minor variations in your core body temperature - for the biological systems involved in high intensity physical exercise, the optimal temperature is relatively high Most people can achieve higher muscle activation levels in the evening compared to the morning - we more quickly adapt to heat stress than we do to hypoxia As a result, core body temperature correlates with exercise performance - people are normally strongest when their core body temperature reaches its daily peak Additionally, a study published in- looked at rats exercising by running 5 days/wk up a 6% grade at 20 m/min for 60 min in either 73 degrees F or 39-46 degrees F HSP 70 increased 12.3-fold in the 73 degrees group compared to sedentary control group and was unchanged in the cold room runners (3) References 1) Effects of morning versus evening combined strength and endurance training on physical performance, muscle hypertrophy, and serum hormone concentrations - Applied Physiology, Nutrition, and Metabolism. What If The Sun Went Out for Just One Day

Have you ever wondered what would happen if the Sun just suddenly stopped shining? The first thing that probably comes to your mind is that it would get a whole lot darker and colder. True, but that doesn’t even begin to describe what kind of catastrophic event it would be because eventually humankind would meet its eminent demise. In the first few minutes after the Sun stops burning, life goes on as usual here on Earth because the sunlight itself is still traveling towards the planet. But after 8½ minutes, the skies go black, as if someone just flipped a switch. After an hour, once everybody has realized the situation they’re in, panic ensues on the side of the planet where it's supposed to be daytime. The temperature across the globe drops by several degrees and just keeps going down. One of the worst things is that photosynthesis stops within 24 hours. Within a week or so, the average temperature on the planet falls below zero. Most plants have already perished due to the cold, and heat-loving animals start to disappear shortly after. People build shelters and try to survive the cold and lack of food. They might be more successful in areas with a lot of geothermal activity, such as Iceland. After just one year, the planet might host some types of bacteria that can survive even in unbelievably low temperatures. But other life forms on the surface have been wiped away. Just remember, though, this scenario was just a hypothetical “what if?”. As for the real future of the Earth, it’ll stay firmly “tied” to the Sun. People would build shelters and try to survive the cold and lack of food. -After a year without the Sun, the surface of the Earth would become as cold as 100° below zero. The top layers of the seas and oceans would have frozen over by this time, the only survivors among people (if any) would be on the ocean floor, near geothermal vents. There would be no life on the planet. -If the Sun stopped burning, its gravitational pull would vanish, and the Earth would fly away into outer space at the same speed. After 43,000 years, the Earth would near Alpha Centauri, the closest star to us. -As for the real future of the Earth, it’ll stay firmly “tied” to the Sun that will increase in size in several billion years. Hopefully by that time humanity will have found ways to explore and colonize other planets orbiting younger stars.
