Things which dad should Teach to family. 1. How to deal with stress and relax A surprisingly popular one among the men polled for this shortlist – it seems that we are all too aware that we don’t want to pass on our stress habits to the next generation. So whether you guide them towards exercise, mindfulness, a healthy diet or you simply show them the joys of an occasional spa break, don’t forget that you need to exemplify the relaxed outlook you hope they will have in life. So what did we miss? Pointless sporting tribalism? When to bet and when to fold? Why Adam West will always be the ultimate Batman? Share the lessons you're teaching to your young ones in the comments below and between us we'll become super dads. 2. How to handle money There are three skills you need to address when it comes to cash: saving it, earning it and spending it. The best idea is to give children financial responsibility as young as possible and then let them make a total hash of it. Far better that they overspend an allowance of £10, than they come to you when they've lashed the mortgage payments on a Bingo binge. Osper and GoHenry offer an interesting take on this – they're prepaid debit cards which allow kids from 8-18 the freedom to spend an allowance, but in a way that’s completely visible to parents. It’s also worth investigating the Personal Finance Education Group website for some free resources that are aimed at teachers, but relevant for parents too. 3. How to clean the house Nearly every survey going suggests that women do more housework than men – so surely this is one for the mums? Wrong. A dad teaching their child to clean emphasizes that housework should be a shared responsibility and, moreover, that stereotypes should be challenged wherever you find them. At the very least let your children see you take on the responsibility of hiring a cleaner and explain why outsourcing is sometimes a more sensible approach. 4. How to fight (and why you shouldn't) No one is saying that violence is ever an acceptable solution, it’s just that sometimes you are given no option. As a dad, it's vital that you equip your child with the basics of what happens in a fight and how to stand a chance of surviving it. It’s just as important to point out that no one ever really wins a fight in the real world – even a seemingly heroic intervention could result in prosecution, injury or death. Probably best to teach them negotiation skills and how to run as well.

True Friendship isn't who you've know the longest..... It’s who showed up when you needed them most It’s who listens to understand you, not just to reply. Someone who helps you without an agenda. The people who encourage you, Believe in you and love you. They are honest, Loyal and Thoughtful. True friends make time for you, not excuses. They are the one you can spend time with making the best memories. Yet also go awhile without seeing then and nothing has changed.
